After graduating from Ladue High School, he became interested in politics, negotiations, and other activities. When he realized his true passion in college, he was a well-liked and respected student. He earned a B.A. in political science from Saint Louis University with a 3.9 GPA. Summa Cum Laude.

These organizations prepared him for a position integrating different groups who, left to their own devices, couldn't form relationships.
